The fair, which is taking take place from February 13th to February 15th at Paris-Nord Villepinte, counts more than 1700 exhibitors, attesting its attractiveness and strength as one of the most important events for the fashion industry.

comON si attending Prèmiere Vision with the concept HYBRID IS NOW, inspired by the ideas of hybrid and contamination, which is embodied in some selected outfits made by the students of Como High Schools and Italian Fashion Universities.

The set-up, which is rooted in the concepts of construction and contamination, plays with the idea of the event backstage, a kind of behind the curtain, where mannequins, monitors and accessories simulate a moltitude of interconnected individuals. The structure and construction of the event is emphasised with the use of iron tubes to create a scaffolding: the visitor - whose gaze is normally kept to the ground by the surrounding reality - is forced to look up.  The movement, the sound, and the metamorphosis of space capture the spectator, guiding him through the infinite path of design.

The exhibition, curated by Monica Sampietro, is the product of different Institutes students’ creativity: the High Schools Enaip Cantù, I.I.S. Da Vinci - Ripamonti Corso Moda, ISIS Di Setificio Paolo Carcano, Liceo Artistico Casnati Architettura, Fashion e Multimediale, Liceo Artistico Statale “F. Melotti" Cantù Design Moda, and Universities Accademia Del Lusso, European Institute of Design IED: Milano, Roma, Torino and Accademia di Belle Arti Aldo Galli IED Como, Ateneo Post Diploma ISGMD Lecco, NABA – Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti. Students were able to make their outfits through to the contribution of many companies from the textile district of Como, which provided their fabrics and materials, allowing the success of the projects.
