ComON Design Exhibition
ComON opens up to design, with the ComON Design Exhibition event, carried out in partnership with the most prestigious furniture companies in the Como area.

OPEN EVERY DAY FROM OCTOBER 13TH TO 24TH
Thanks to the active support of Taissa Buescu, a journalist and curator of exhibitions on design and architecture, the 2009 edition of ComON opens up for the first time to the world of design.
ComON design workshop is aimed at stimulating the creativity of the most promising young students from the Polytechnics of Como and Milan, the NABA and the IED; the theme is recycling and environmental eco-sustainability.
14 students will be chosen to create design objects using various kinds of waste products as their main material. These waste products will be taken from Como-based furniture manufacturers.
Those selected to take part will be monitored and “adopted” by special tutors, namely the renowned designers Massimiliano Adami and Lorenzo Damiani; they will be hosted by the top firms Poliform, Porro, Lema, Gallotti&Radice, OMP Porro and Baxter, and will be able to make full use of their technical support and manufacturing experience.
The works produced by the students will be displayed to the public for the duration of the Creativity Week plus an additional week, at Como Polytechnic.
